Why Dogs Sleep So Much?

Do puppies sleep more?

Similar to humans, age and health play significant roles in a dog's sleep patterns. Puppies sleep considerably more than adult dogs, often clocking in 18-20 hours of sleep per day. This extended sleep is essential for their growth and development. Conversely, senior dogs may sleep more due to age-related factors such as arthritis or other health issues.
